From Munich to the summit of the Zugspitze for 48 Euro
On every Saturday and Sunday until March 10, 2013 starts a special non-stop train (called "Garmisch Ski Express"), departure at 7:00 a.m. from the Munich main station
for an ecursion to the highest mountain of Germany.
On all other days until May 1 one can use a normal DB regional train (RB) 2nd class (this offer is called "Garmisch Ski Ticket")
Both offers include:
Train from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Bayerische Zugspitzbahn (cogwheel train) and cable car ("Gletscherbahn") to the summit
Day ski pass (transponder card) for skiing,
ski-boarding. Non-skiers can enjoy the beautiful view from the summit.
Return with any DB regional train 2nd class to Munich
Price: Adults 48 Euro, children and young people up to 18 years 39 Euro
If you don't want go up to the Zugspitze, there is also a ticket to the lower Garmisch ski region Hausberg. Price: 42 Euro adult, 35 Euro children and young people up to 18 years.
