Munich Spring Festival
April 26 to May 12, 2019 on the Theresienwiese
With the Spring Festival, lovingly called “"the little sister of the Oktoberfest", begins every year the season of Munich folk festivals. It takes place on the Theresienwiese, the same ground as the Oktoberfest. The enjoyment for the whole family runs 17 days. Offered are more than 100 fun rides and attractions, 2 big beer tents and a huge beer garden. Snack booths all over the fairground will sell a wide variety of specials, like Bratwurst, Leberkässemmel. Seafood lovers will find various specialities of fish, special "Steckerlfisch” - fish grilled on a stick.
Official opening ceremonies are on April 26 at 2:30 pm at the "Kongresshalle“ by the Theresienwiese followed by a parade to the Theresienwiese, including all participants in a festive coach and the horse-drawn brewer's cart carriages of the three breweries. At the entrance of the beer tent bands will perform a concert and the „Böllerschützen“ will shoot with mini hand-cannons into the air. Finally tapping of the first Maß beer in on of the big tents.
The framework programme contents e.g. a giant Flea Market, Family Days with discounts for children, an Oldtimer-Corso, 2 Firework shows.

April 28 10 am - 5 pm ACM Oldtimer cars meeting and corso beginning at 11 am
April 30 12 am - 7 pm First Family Afternoon with reduced prices
May 03 10 pm Brillant- firework
May 05 11 am - 5 pm Day of bavarian traditions, Bavarian folk musik and dance
May 07 11 am - 7 pm Second Family Afternoon with reduced prices
May 10 10 pm Large musical fireworks with - support of radio Chariviari
